ALAMOSA — Celina P. Martinez, 67, passed away July 14, 2020, peacefully at the Evergreen Nursing Home in Alamosa. Born on February 16, 1953, in Track City, Colorado, the daughter of Jose Frank Martinez and Viola Atencio Martinez.

After high school, she was united in marriage to Antonio A. Martinez. Celina was selfless, she devoted her life’s work to caring for her family. She was an exceptional mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, cooking, listening to music, crocheting blankets, watching the Golden Girls on TV and spending time with her friends and family.

Survivors include her son Horacio Martinez of Alamosa, CO; grandchildren Melanny Martinez of Del Norte, CO; Damaris Martinez and Avaleigh Martinez both of Rico, CO; sisters Isabel Velasquez of Romeo, CO; Orelia Martinez of Track City, CO; Eileen (Fernando) Montez of Leadville, CO; Lucy (Thomas) Montoya of Pueblo, CO; brothers Remigio (Mary Ann) Martinez of Track City, CO; Albert (Debbie) Martinez of Belgium, WI; Orlando (Barbara) Martinez, Danny (Margaret) Martinez both of Track City, CO; Francisco (Melody) Martinez of Leadville, CO; Jimmy Martinez of Alamosa, CO.

She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Celina was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Viola Martinez, husband Antonio A. Martinez and one brother Johnny Martinez.
