Cello and piano music by Spanish and Latin composers at Society Hall

ALAMOSA– Society Hall is excited to host a special Sunday afternoon concert of cello and piano music by Spanish and Latin composers featuring cellist Mark Dudrow and pianist Martha Shepp. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door and are available at the Green Spot at 711 State Ave in Alamosa, or online at www.societyhall.org.

The concert is March 6 at 4:00 p.m and doors will open at 3:00 p.m. It should be a lovely time in beautiful Society Hall, with the late afternoon sun shining in, fading to twilight. The concert will also stream live on the Society Hall Facebook page.

Mark Dudrow has been playing the cello for live audiences for at least 50 years. He loves to share the song of the cello with all kinds of audiences, from festivals to farmers markets. He collaborates with musicians in many genres, including but not limited to Chamber Music, Singer-Songwriters, Balkan and Middle-Eastern, Americana, Tango, Blues, Jazz and Rock and Roll.....a few years back he was even spotted sitting in with an awesome Norteño band at a local biker bar in Garcia CO!

Martha Shepp preaches the gospel of the power of creativity. A multi-disciplinary artist, her favorite artforms are at those ripe crossover points. She loves to collaborate with the likes of open-minded genre-free artists like Mark, playing life-affirming works that can’t help but spark the innate creativity of listeners. In addition to directing a chamber music concert series through the Questa Creative Council, she works at the best store in Red River, Frye’s Old Town & the Jewelry Lady, is assistant editor at the Questa Del Rio News, is the Taos Community Chorus’s accompanist, and is grateful for living in this enchanted part of the world.

The concert is March 6th at 4:00 pm at Society Hall, 400 Ross Avenue in Alamosa.
