ALAMOSA — Latin America has a long history of women’s activism, visible especially during times of crisis. As Venezuela descends further into economic disaster and political instability, the particular experiences of women have led to gendered forms of resistance across the political spectrum.

The Adams State University Faculty Lecture, Daughters of Boliva, Mothers of the Revolution, by Mari Centeno, Ph.D., begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, in McDaniel 101.

All ASU Faculty Lectures in the series are free and open to the public. Complimentary light refreshments will be offered. For further information on the series of lectures, contact Dr. Joel Givens, assistant professor of counselor education, at 719-587-7551 or [email protected].
