Cerny to present wildlife research to Rotary

ALAMOSA — The Alamosa Rotary Club is pleased to announce that Tyler Cerny will give a presentation on wildlife research he has conducted this coming Monday, August 6 at noon at Juanito’s Restaurant, 1019 6th Street.

Cerny, a May 2018 Adams State University graduate, will present research he performed along with other Adams State biology students to investigate the effect gating a mine might have on the animal population in the mountains surrounding the San Luis Valley.

The research concentrated on the effect on larger carnivores and how they currently use abandoned mines, either for shelter or to hunt for food. Join in learning more about this fascinating research and to view the fantastic wildlife photos the team obtained!
