Charles M. "Chuck" Dorsey, 86, passed away peacefully at his home in Albuquerque, N.M., on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, with his loving wife Margie by his side. Chuck was born in Alamosa, Colo., on April 26, 1936, the son of Hazel Payne Dorsey and James E. Dorsey. Chuck graduated from Alamosa High School and received a BA degree at Adams State College. He was a nuclear engineer at Los Alamos Laboratory and retired in 2013.

Chuck is survived by his wife Margie; his son Robert Dorsey, Las Vegas, Nev.; his step-daughters Melanie Curran, Warrena Padilla, Stephanie Mora and Shelley (Darrell) Evans all of Albuquerque, N.M.; his grandchildren Brandon (Christie) Dorsey, Bryan (April) Molina, Nicole (Ted) Rodriguez, Tyerza Velarde, Sasha (Jorge) Tovar, Geena Mora, Ryan Curran and Jade Evans; great-grandchildren Brayden Dorsey, Davin Dorsey, Chloe Dorsey, Zayne Dorsey, Shy]o Molina, Kallie Tovar, John Mora-Barney, Matty Tovar, Mason Molina, Autumn Molina, Phoenix Molina and Remi Rose Rodriguez; niece Sharon Roybal and nephews Randy Tourville and Carl Zietz.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Hazel and James Dorsey, his daughter Tammy Dorsey and his sister Frances Zietz.

Chuck's life celebration will begin with a Rosary at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at Salazar Mortuary, 400 Third St., SW, Albuquerque, N.M., 87102. Service will begin at 3 p.m. and a reception will follow in Salazar Mortuary's Life Event Center.
