The City of Alamosa Employee Wellness Program held its first Walk/Run for a Noble Cause-a community giveback event.  The wellness committee created of a mix of city employees organized its first fun walk/run event for all employees and their family members to participate in. The event required participants to pay a $5 registration fee that was then voted on by participants to who or what organization it should be donated to. The overwhelming vote for PALS Children’s Program came in first. City council was extremely supported of this event and matched the total registration amount, giving a combined total donation of $340 to PALS.
