Colorado Lottery seeks outdoor photographers

Calling all shutterbugs! The Colorado Lottery is looking to build a library of photographs featuring outdoor locations in the state, and is asking for help from local photographers. The Lottery hopes to obtain photographs of its proceeds locations including parks, playgrounds, recreation centers, State Parks, trails, and wildlife habitats that utilized Lottery dollars.

Lottery beneficiaries include Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO), the Conservation Trust Fund, and Colorado Parks & Wildlife. A comprehensive list of proceeds projects and locations can be found at www.coloradolottery.com/giving-back/.

The Lottery will compensate photographers for their photographs, which may be used for a variety of media including digital, editorial, social, print, advertising, point of sale, or other purposes. Photographers who are interested in contributing photographs to the project are invited to submit them on the Lottery’s website, www.coloradolottery.com/en/media-center/submit-a-photo/. A team will review submissions and decide which photographs to purchase.

Proceeds from retail sales of Colorado Lottery’s games – Powerball, Mega Millions, Scratch, Lotto, Lucky for Life, Cash 5, and Pick 3 – enhance, protect, and improve parks, recreation areas, wildlife, trails and open space in Colorado. For 37 years, the Lottery has returned more than $3.2 billion to outdoor projects in the state of Colorado through GOCO, the Conservation Trust Fund, and Colorado Parks & Wildlife.
