Composer Friedrich will perform at Adams State on September 21

ALAMOSA –Composer Kenneth D. Friedrich will perform at 12 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, in Richardson Hall Auditorium. A reception with light refreshments will follow the concert.

Friedrich has a body of over 200 original pieces and over 100 arrangements. His first concerto for euphonium and wind symphony was premiered in Folkestone, UK in 2007. His first sonata for tuba and piano was commissioned and performed in 2009 in Texas. His music is included in many state lists, including New York and Texas.

Friedrich has been on the Adams State University campus since September 10 as the first artist for the new Rare Artist in Residency (AIR) program.  The Adams State Art, Theatre and Music Departments initiated the Artist in Residency program this fall to present visual and performing artists with an opportunity to complete projects, start collaborations, or spark new ideas.
