Conejos County Hospital sets barbecue

LA JARA — On Saturday, June 23, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., the public is welcome to join the board and staff for a special event at the Conejos County Hospital.

There will be a groundbreaking ceremony at 11 a.m. to mark the beginning of the remodel to the Emergency Department and as a single point of entry to the building.  The ceremony will kick off the annual Quilt Auction and BBQ with live music, free face painting, silent and live auction items and delicious homemade pies.

The community has supported the hospital for years with their generous donations, updating the patient rooms to accommodate the addition of hospice services and improvements to the grounds as well as lab and radiology.  A patient recently remarked, “I could not ask for any better care and treatment at the La Jara Hospital.  Each and every visit has been incredibly awesome!”

One hundred percent of funds raised during the Saturday event will go towards supporting the upcoming CCH Emergency Department remodeling, new signage and improvements to the patient and family accommodations.

Don’t miss this fun event for an important cause. Lunch tickets are $5 each or 6 for $25.  For questions or to purchase tickets ahead of time, please contact Daniel Dellosso at 719-587-4773.
