On December 12, 1939, Conrad Bert Gulliford was born in La Junta, Colorado to Clifford and Elizabeth Gulliford. On September 7, 2021, he went home to be with his Lord and Savior. Conrad grew up in Cotopaxi, Colorado where he roamed the hillside hunting and fishing. He loved to play basketball at Cotopaxi High School and later in Pueblo at USC where he attended college. He served in the Army National Guard in Canon City, Colorado. While in high school he met the love of his life Sharon Kay Adams, and they were married 59 years. They raised two children Tandi and Devin in Monte Vista. Conrad along with his family-owned and operated the Monte Vista Livestock Auction and farmed and ranched in the San Luis Valley.
Conrad loved all sports and loved competing. He competed in golf tournaments across the state. In 2007 Conrad and Sharon retired to be closer to their son and grandchildren in Mineral Wells, Texas. In 2021 they returned to Fremont County where they reside.
Conrad is preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Elizabeth Gulliford, brother Clifford (Sonny) (Mildred) Gulliford, sister Patsy York, brother-in-law Lefty Hearst.
Survived by his loving wife Sharon, daughter Tandi Gulliford-Pachak (Bart), son Devin (Michelle) Gulliford, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren Megan Yorek (Tegan), (Levi), Garrett Gulliford (Morgan) (Carson), (Keith), (Charlotte) Sister Winonna Hearst, Brother-in-law Tim York. Conrad had many nieces, nephews and friends who were truly dear to him.
Graveside service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. September 13, 2021, in Canon City, Colorado.
