Coy Glen Burk, 88, passed away March 9, 2017 at his home in Monte Vista, Colorado. He was born January 8, 1929 in Monte Vista, Colorado to Herman and Ethel Entz Burk.    

After high school Coy served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Patricia Jean Case and they raised three children together.

Coy was a farmer and a water well driller. When not working he enjoyed spending time with family. His hobbies included enjoying the outdoors, fishing,  bowling and woodcarving. He especially enjoyed attending the Wood Carvers Rendezvous which is held in Creede each summer.

Coy was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jimmy Burk. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia, brother Jack (Patricia) Burk of Mancos, Colorado, daughter Karen Burk of TorC, NM, sons Larry (Jane) Burk of Nebraska, and Ken (Priscilla) Burk of Monte Vista, grand children Kimberly (Kris) Allen, Keri (Tom) Gonzales, Kevin (Jill) Burk, Allison (Marcus) Jones, Miranda (Eric) Rode, Quentin Burk, Riley Burk, Caden (Melanie) Burk, and Gavin Burk, and great-grand children Kayla and Karissa Allen, Coy Gonzales, Eisley Burk and Weston Burk.

At his request there will be no service for Mr. Burk. Arrangements are in care of
Strohmayer’s Funeral Home.
