ALAMOSA — Eight craft brewers and several distillers will be featured Saturday at the annual Octobrufest in Sunset Park. Sponsored by the Alamosa County Chamber of Commerce, the event will be held from 2-7 p.m. at the park just off U.S. Hwy. 285, south of North River Greenhouse. The event will feature a variety of brewers and distillers from all over the valley (and beyond). Gosar’s Sausage, The Windsor Hotel, and Krazy Pete’s Snow Shack will also be serving throughout the duration of the event. Adding to the expanding list of activities, there will be plenty of games, contests and live music from Dave Mensch and Innastate. There will also be a free face painting table from 3-5 p.m. sponsored by Edward Jones, rounds of stein holding contests, a keg toss and giant beer pong sponsored by SLV Sports & Wellness, and of course a cornhole tournament at 4:30 p.m. put together by the Wet Paintbrush.
