CREEDE -- The 2021 Mountain Shoot Out call for entries is now open. The deadline for entry is June 11. Opening day at the Creede Visitors Center will be June 25. If conditions are right, we will have our traditional opening day reception at 5 pm that day. 

The judge is Susan Urrutia. She will select 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards and honorable mentions, and she will give feedback on the photos and the selection process. Visitors will vote for their favorite photo, and the winner will receive the People’s Choice Award. The Arts Council may purchase the People’s Choice photo for permanent display at the Visitors Center.

This year we have a new program emphasizing winter photographs. This is part of the Chamber of Commerce’s promotion of winter tourism. We will have an award for Best Winter Photograph and will select up to 10 wintry photos for display on banners the Chamber plans to install on Main Street. The banners will include the artists’ names. So please include winter photos.
