David De Herrera

David De Herrera passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 21, 1943, in Alamosa, Colorado, to Lawrence and Rosalie De Herrera. Dave is survived by his wife, Marvina (Sams) De Herrera; his daughters, Debbi Webster (Mike), Tonia Gebers (Tim); grandchildren, Thomas Webster, Lucas Webster, Chelsea Shields (Justin) and Allie Johnson. He is also survived by his three brothers, Herman De Herrera, Andrew De Herrera and Dennis De Herrera. Dave worked for over 17 years at Ready Mixed Concrete. He and his wife sold their home in 1993 and moved to Phoenix, Arizona to manage their own business (Mission Village Mobile Home Park). They sold their business in 2007 to retire in Maui, Hawaii and live close to their daughter and granddaughters. Most recently they lived in Mesquite, Nevada. He was married to Marvina for 54 years and they loved to travel to Mexico, Puerto Rico, and many road trips across the United States. He taught his daughters many valuable lessons while they were growing up including how to change a tire on their car, the value of hard work, loving country music, and how to drive. He loved his grandchildren more than they will ever know and he was very proud of them. We come into this world crying while those around us rejoice, and we leave this world rejoicing while those around us cry. We will miss you every day and know this world was a better place with you in it! We love you Dave, Dad, Grampa! A celebration of life will be held later this year. Please visit www.HoranCares.com.
