David R. Ruybal

Our beloved David R. Ruybal, 68, gained his angel wings on May 15, 2022. One day before his 69th birthday. David made his grand entrance into the world on May 16, 1953 in Alamosa, Colorado. He was the son of Ruben and Theresa Ruybal. David was united in marriage to Cindy Vaughn on May 26, 2005, they shared 17 amazing years together. David served in the United States Air Force as an air cargo specialist for six years during Vietnam and was honorably discharged after his service to his country. David worked for Great Sand Dunes National Park and Reserve for 37 years. David enjoyed staying busy and working on his yard, reading his bible, arrow head hunting and spending time with his loving family. David was always willing to help anyone and listen. He enjoyed cracking jokes, picking on his grandkids and spoiling them to pieces. One of his favorite past times was cuddling his dogs, Riley and Raney.

He will live on through his two sons Richard (Tanya) Ruybal, DJ (Lynnea) Ruybal, step-sons Robert (Joy) WIlson, Ross (Misty) Wilson; grandchildren, Shorte (Laura) Ruybal, Darion Ruybal, Aaliyah Barela, Alyssa Ruybal, Marcus Ruybal, Gabriel Wilson, Aly Wilson, Blake Wilson, Ava Wilson, 3 great-grandchildren Andre Garcia, Kalissa Garcia and Legend Ruybal. David is also survived by 5 brothers and one sister. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
