Deadline for Alex P. Kahler Memorial Tournament is Friday

ALAMOSA – Cattails Golf Course will be hosting the annual Alex P. Kahler Memorial Men’s Golf Tournament on Aug. 12-14.

The tournament is a 36-hole men’s stroke play event and it is flighted by handicap.

The practice rounds will be on Aug. 12 any time before 2 p.m. There is also a horse race with the cost being $20 per two-man team at 5 p.m. A dinner and Calcutta will take place at 7 p.m.

The first round of golf will be on Aug. 13 from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. The Dallas Bauer Skins Game will also be that day at $10 per player.

The second and final round of golf will be Aug. 14 also from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. The presentation of awards will follow the conclusion of each flight

For the Calcutta, there will be an auction of every player on Aug. 12 during the dinner.

Gross payouts are in each flight and paid out in shop credit. All Calcutta payouts are based off net scores and are paid out by check.

The deadline to enter is Friday. The entry fee is $185 per player and carts are available. The cost of the carts is $10 per day. If one decides to rent a cart on the day of play, the cost will be $15 per day.

An extra dinner is available for $25.
