ALAMOSA — Alamosa County Democrats will host U.S. Senator Michael Bennet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 8, at the Barn at La Manzanilla, 6491 State Highway 17, Alamosa.

“We are very excited to have Sen. Bennet join Democrats from Alamosa County and the entire San Luis Valley for an informal get-together,” said Jan Vigil, chairman of Alamosa County Democrats. “This will be a great opportunity to meet the Senator, listen to his comments and socialize with fellow Democrats.”

Sen. Bennet has represented Colorado in the United States Senate since 2009 and is widely recognized as a pragmatic and independent thinker. He has built a reputation of taking on Washington dysfunction and working with Republicans and Democrats to address major national issues, including education, climate change, immigration, health care and national security.

The event will include light refreshments and a silent auction. Democrats from across the San Luis Valley are encouraged to attend.
