Dig in to gardening with Cloverbuds

MONTE VISTA – Valley youth ages 5 to 7 are invited to participate in Cloverbuds, a fun activity-focused youth development program, run by San Luis Valley 4-H. The June meeting will take place on Saturday, June 2 from 3 to 4:30 pm, at the San Luis Valley Area Extension office in Monte Vista, and will feature gardening-related projects.

Participants will learn about what a plant needs to grow thru hands-on activities and games. Youth will make terrariums, and create and eat a composting-themed treat.

Kids do not need to be 4-H members to attend this event. The cost is $10 per child, and includes snacks and materials. Youth must RSVP to the Extension office by Wednesday, May 30 if they’d like to participate, as space and materials are limited. Call 719-852-7381 or e-mail [email protected] to register.

The Cloverbuds club is planning additional summer sessions on a variety of topics, such as outdoor adventures. If your family is interested in attending send your email to [email protected] to get on our mailing list and fill out an availability survey.
