On June 12, Roger W. and Patricia Doane celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.  They were married in 1959 at the First Baptist Church in Ansley, Neb. They moved to the San Luis Valley in 1990 and have called it their home.  Roger retired from Farm Credit in 2000.  They have three sons David Bruce Doane of Alexandria, Va., Kyle Mark Doane and wife Leslie of Santa Fe, N.M., and Todd Joseph Doane who is deceased, his wife Vanessa of Carrollton, Texas.  They have four wonderful grandchildren whom they are very fond of, Allison, Madeline, Alexander and Brayden.  The oldest grandson, Alexander just recently returned from service in Afghanistan.  The Roger Doane’s plan on celebrating their 60 years of marriage with a trip, Lord willing to the Holy Lands next spring.
