Please help get this dog back home. He’s a male, well tempered, had a neon collar, found at Highway 285 & County Rd 12 S. (Henry area). The SLV Animal Welfare Society encourages anyone who has found a dog to please feed the dog and give it water and report the dog to us. We have dog food to give out. It may take us a few days to be able to pick up the dog. If finders do not feed and water found dogs, they will continue to wander looking for food, perhaps getting shot, hit by vehicles, or attacked by predators. Finders often feel obligated to keep a dog they have found because they care about animals. The owner may be looking for the dog and if it is not reported, the owner will never find the dog. We are a no kill shelter. Finders and owners never have to worry that we will euthanize a dog or any other animal. We spend thousands on medical care to save dogs we have found.
