Donations welcome for local fire victim

CRESTONE — Friends, neighbors and strangers are assisting Crestone area resident Woody Bobb after he lost everything in a fire earlier this month.

Woody had called his little camper home for most of six years and stored all of his belongings including his computer, phone, books, research papers, clothes and all his food and supplements. All of his belongings were lost in the fire.

A GoFundMe account has raised $2,800 of its $3,500 goal with 36 individual donations in 14 days.

With the help of his friends and the Crestone community at large and others, Woody can get a fresh start.

He now has a loaner phone and a loaner computer, and a blowup mattress in a temporary room. Thanks to everyone who has helped him during this time. All money raised will go to him directly to replace his belongings and help him get a fresh start.

He wants to stay in the Crestone area, but finding a new place will be a necessary next step.
