La Jara resident Donna Jean Snook, 89, died June 25, 2021 at the Rio Grande Inn Nursing Home in La Jara.
Donna was born in Manassa, Colorado on July 23, 1931 to Travis Galen Edgar and Vivian Flavin.
She worked as an Operator for the phone company as well as at Adams State College as a Secretary and was a Homemaker. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings in the church throughout the years.
Donna also enjoyed traveling when she had the chance. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Charley (Cathy) Johnson of Alamosa, CO, Kenric (Marilyn) Johnson of Bartlesville, OK, JJ (Elizabeth Flores) Snook of Aurora, CO and Joel (Kelsey) Snook of Wiggins, CO; her brother Mike Flavin of Alamosa, CO; her brother Jonathan Flavin of Phoenix, AZ; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her son Matthew Johnson, her brothers Galen Edgar, Clive Edgar, Duane Edgar, John Flavin and her sister Gatha Boyett.
A Graveside Service will be held in the New Manassa Cemetery on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
