Dorothy Ann McRedmond Weed

Alamosa resident Dorothy Ann McRedmond Weed, 87, passed away on May 11, 2021 at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center in Alamosa. 

Dorothy was born on January 13, 1934 in Dallas, Texas to Martin Anthony and Catherine Helen (Bergob) McRedmond.  She cherished her family and was an active member of her church.  Dorothy enjoyed Bible studies, prison ministries, outdoor activities, living a healthy lifestyle and tending to her plants and flowers.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Geri Morrison of Alamosa, Bridget (Curtis) Anderson of Spangle, Washington, Matthew Weed of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Eric (Dawn) Weed of Alamosa, two grandchildren, Emily Weed and Ron Anderson, and her siblings, Francis McRedmond of Marble Falls, Texas, Kathleen Kahil of Austin, Texas, Anthony McRedmond of Boerne, Texas, Ellen McRedmond of Evansville, Indiana, Joan Cannon of Atkins, Arkansas and David McRedmond of Lewisville, Texas as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Ivan Weed, and her siblings, Jean Bonnen, Alice McRedmond and Matthew McRedmond.

Funeral services will be held in Alvarado, Texas at a later time.  She will be buried at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.  In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Cornerstone Christian Academy or the Seventh-Day Adventist Church directly.
