Downtown design input opportunities continue

The City of Alamosa and MIG, the consultant for Alamosa’s downtown design project, held an open house regarding the project on Tuesday evening at the Roast, with another community input session tonight, Wed., Nov. 14, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Alamosa city council chambers, 300 Hunt Ave. Carlos Hernandez, right, with Fox Tuttle Hernandez Transportation Group, who is working on the transportation portion of Alamosa’s downtown design project, describes the design process during Tuesday’s open house.

During Tuesday’s Alamosa downtown design open house Audrey Liu and her daughter Shasta give input on proposed improvements to the downtown area. These include alleyway improvements, cultural trail and festival street enhancements. Open house participants selected their preferred improvements, such as different types of paving, lighting, outdoor seating and vegetation.
