Affectionately known as “Uncle Si” of the “Duck Dynasty” television series, Si Robertson (right) spoke before a crowd estimated at more than 300 at the softball field in Creede Monday and has a second appearance scheduled Tuesday from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Famous for the creation of duck hunting calls and various adventures on the TV series, Robertson is widely known for his faith in “God and Country” and spoke about both in an event reflecting both religious and patriotic themes. He is shown accompanied by long-time employee and travel partner Phillip McMillan. An hour-long gospel music concert by local Creede musicians kicked off Monday’s presentation. His appearances were sponsored by the Hellfighters Off Road organization with headquarters at Blue Creek Lodge south of Creede.
