Dwayne CandyFire of El Reno, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, October 29, 2020 at INTEGRIS Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon, Oklahoma. Dwayne CandyFire was born on June 5, 1947 in Geary, Oklahoma to Vera Candy. He enlisted in the US Army in 1966 and was Honorably Discharged in 1971. He held various occupations which included law enforcement, working in oil companies and with the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribe. He established his own business, Dwayne’s Lawn Service, which was very successful.
Dwayne’s passions included watching Nascar racing, watching the Dallas Cowboys, trout fishing in Colorado, singing and playing his guitar, going to the casino, buying lottery tickets and above all spending time with his children and grandchildren. Dwayne had a big heart and never hesitated to help friends, family and those in need.
He is survived by daughter Vera (Armando) Candy-Dominguez of Wheat Ridge Colorado; sons Dwayne (Marcia) Candy of Alamosa Colorado, John (Chelsea) CandyFire of El Reno, Oklahoma and grandchildren, Jonathon Quintana, Eryn Dominguez, Chenoa and Taylor Candy. He is also survived by his beloved companion Joyce Wright, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vera Candy, and brother, John D Candy.
Viewing will be held at Wilson Funeral Home in El Reno, Oklahoma on November 13, 2020 for family and friends from 12:00pm-7:00pm. A Wake will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 starting at 8:00pm to Sunrise at Southern Heights Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am, Saturday November 14, 2020 at Southern Heights Baptist Church, 1412 S. Dillie Ave, El Reno, Oklahoma. Services will be officiated by Glen Cash and burial will follow at the CandyFire Cemetery in Geary, Oklahoma.
