E. Blanche Kibel

ALAMOSA — E. Blanche Kibel, 76, passed away on September 25, 2020, at the San Luis Valley Regional Hospital in Alamosa.  She was born on September 22, 1944, in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Frank E. Ward and Enrima P. (Clark) Ward.  She grew up in Canon City, Colorado where she met the love of her life, Lawrence Kibel.

The two were married on December 24, 1975.  Blanche enjoyed knitting, Crocheting, gardening, working on cars with her husband and spending time with her children.  She was the treasurer and secretary of the Rockvale Gun Club for many years.  Blanche had a huge heart for helping people and was also known to be pretty stubborn.

She is survived by her husband Larry Kibel of Rockvale (Moffat), Colorado, her children, Charlotte Flick of Kansas City, Kan., H. Douglas Kibel of Canon City, Edward Kibel of Llano, Texas, Cynthia Kibel of Cotopaxi and Crystalyn Skinner of Denver as well as eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren the most recent, Wade Wilson, born approximately 12 hours prior to her death and her brother Frank Ward, Jr. of Pueblo.

Blanche was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Mary Hammond.

Cremation was selected and a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held around noon on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at 695 May Street in Rockvale, Colorado.  To express condolences to the family, please visit www.rogersfunerals.com
