ROMEO — Romeo resident Edith Medina Huerta, 60, went to her eternal rest on February 11, 2021 at the Conejos County Hospital in La Jara, surrounded by her loving family. Edith was born on March 18, 1960 in Las Vegas, New Mexico, the daughter of Celina Trujillo and Rubel Medina. After graduating high school, Edith went on to work as a home care provider for the elderly. She loved her work and caring for others. Edith was an exceptional wife, mother grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who enjoyed gardening, cooking, taking care of her pets and all of her elderly special patients. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Genaro Huerta of Romeo, CO; daughter Crystal Huerta of Albuquerque, NM; son Blas Huerta of Romeo, CO; grandchildren Romeo Scott Huerta, Winter Rose Cdebaca, sisters Florida (Abel) Maldonado, Belna Bejarano (Victor Morales), Lucy Maria Reyes (Mario Rivas) all of Salt Lake City, UT; brother Richard (Bernice) Medina of Salt Lake City, UT. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents Rubel and Celina Medina and one brother Manuel Medina.
