Elizabeth Diane Saucier-Pietsch

Elizabeth Diane Saucier-Pietsch passed away on April 20, 2022 after strongly fighting long battles with different illnesses. She was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Diane became a registered nurse in the USAF and received her Bachelor’s of Science in nursing from CSU Dominguez Hills. She worked as a RN at the psychiatric hospital in San Jose, Ca for over 20 years with also working a short stint at the San Luis Valley Hospital in Alamosa, Co.

Diane moved to Colorado in 2008 with her best friend and husband Miguel in search of “Our Peace of the Rockies”. They found it and built their dream home.

She loved reading, watching and listening to baseball, playing Scrabble, hummingbirds, and just enjoying quiet times. One important accomplishment in her life was earning her black belt in Taekwondo.

Diane was the Secretary for The San Luis Valley Theatre Company with Roscoe (Miguel). She and Roscoe created the theatre company to do activities together. She performed in several plays before being prevented from further performances due to illnesses.

She loved all our furry kids and will now get to be with them again; Panda, Roscoe, Sabrina, Candy, Bonnie, Jackal, Zorba, Simon, Kiana and Tucker.

She was a caring woman who always put the needs of others first, especially for the ones she loved.

Diane is survived by Miguel, her sons Danny and Joey, daughter Gizelle, two adorable granddaughters Quinn and Erin, her father Edsel, and many brothers and sisters.

She will be missed by all of the hearts she touched.

We will be holding a funeral service for Diane at Holy Family Catholic Church in Fort Garland on Saturday, May 14th at 10:00am. 626 Beaubien Avenue 81133, CO.
