Sandra, age 68, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Memorial Hospital, Colorado Springs, CO.

Sandra graduated from Centennial High School, San Luis, CO, and attained her Associates Degree from Pikes Peak Community College, Colorado Springs. She served as secretary for the Rio Costilla Cooperative Livestock Association, Costilla NM.  She worked for an accounting firm and The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs.  Sandra enjoyed drawing, painting, playing the guitar, singing (sang at her high school variety show, receiving a standing ovation), and loved spending time with family and friends.

Sandra is survived by her sisters:  Inez Sandoval (Gilbert); Marie Ortiz; Sally Sanchez (Steve); Jane Sandoval (Richard), brothers: Henry Padilla (Rachel); Charlie Padilla (Tita); Frank Padilla (Becky); and Darin Padilla (Martha).  She is preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Ofrecina Padilla,.brothers William and Julian Padilla, half-sisters: Julia, Lucinda, and Evilia.  Sandra will be dearly missed by her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Mass was held Monday, July 25, 2022, 12:00 p.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Garcia, CO.  Burial to follow at the Garcia Cemetery. To leave online condolences please visit romerofuneralhomes.com. Romero Funeral Home of Alamosa is in care of the arrangements.
