Dennard Ellison, MD, Ear, Nose and Throat Otolaryngologist for San Luis Valley Health in Alamosa, Colorado, has joined the Center for African American Health’s board.  “As a board member, I hope to continue to contribute to my community in an impactful way.  I hope my involvement will empower the health and well-being of our targeted communities.”

Dr. Ellison has been with SLV Health since 2010 and completed his residency at the Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital in Los Angeles, California.  Not only is he a pioneer in performing Balloon Sinuplasty, but he has also joined his African American colleagues in promoting access to health care initiatives, and recently, promoting access to and information about the COVID-19 vaccine.
