Elvia Alexander

Elvia Alexander, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 9, 2021. The desire of her heart was to celebrate their 75th anniversary on June 11th with Mickey, the love of her life, who went ahead of her on April 4th, 2021. Her two sons and a daughter-in-law were by her side. Elvia was born the daughter of Waitus Hullett and Ethel (Jackson) Hullett in Oneonta, AL. Elvia met Mickey through her brother Alvis by war correspondence during WWII. During the war, she prayed for him continually and told her younger sister that he was the man she would marry. After the war, they were united in holy matrimony in June 1946. The two lived in the San Luis Valley where they farmed and she helped with their insurance business (Alexander Insurance Agency.) They moved to Pueblo from the San Luis Valley in 2003 and then to Loveland in 2018.

In her leisure times, Elvia loved fishing and hunting adventures with family, and making mud pies and playing dress-up with her grandchildren. Her best attribute was the time she spent praying for family and friends. Mickey and Elvia traveled to several nations doing missions, sharing the message of the love of Christ. She was a cancer survivor when she was touched by angels which removed the cancer from her neck in 1970. This was a testimony she shared with everyone she met of how the Lord healed her.

She is survived by sons, Mike (Julie) Alexander of Loveland, CO and Jimmy (Anne) Alexander of Elbert, CO; grandchildren, Charity (Chris) Mattke, Michelle (Jason) Gist, Matthew Alexander; step-grandchildren, Morgan (Matt) Musser, Jessica (Mark) Pratt, Jamie Stewart; great-grandchildren, Caleb Alexander, Kaitlyn Gist, Haleigh Alexander, Alexander Gist, Gabrielle Alexander; step-great-grandchildren, Cade Mattke, Maya Musser, Micah Musser, Hendrix Pratt.
