ALAMOSA — Does the fresh snow covering Mt. Blanca make you dream of curling up with a good book before the fire? Friends of the Library can help. On Saturday, November 3, the Friends monthly book sale will be held at Alamosa City Council Chambers in the city building on Hunt from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

This special holiday sale features books in great condition, suitable for gift giving. Books will be available for all age groups and in all categories.  We will also sell book-related crafts such a personal journals, book “purses” and quilted bookmarks which would be just right for the reader on your Christmas list. These special books were not a part of earlier Friends sales this year. Because of their condition, prices will be a bit higher.

Although book sales at Spines have ended for the season, the Friends will be collecting donations at Spines on the first Sunday of each winter month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting on December 2nd. Donations may also be taken to the library. Sales at Spines will resume in May 2019.
