Eugene Earl Yohn, 69

Lifetime Alamosa resident Eugene Earl Yohn, 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 11, 2018 at the San Luis Valley Health Regional Medical Center in Alamosa.

Eugene was born in Alamosa on April 27, 1948 the loving son to Junior E. Yohn and Marjorie G. Nelson Yohn.

He proudly and honorably served in the United States Army during Vietnam as an Infantry Soldier and re-entered later serving another term as an Aircraft Mechanic. Following his time in the military he returned to Alamosa.

Eugene loved spending time with his grandchildren and was very proud of every one of them.

He is survived by his children Richard Yohn, April Goodge and Clifford Yohn; his four grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters and a host of extended family and friends.

Eugene is preceded in death by his father.

Family and friends are welcome at a visitation Friday morning, February 16, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. A Private Graveside Service with military honors will be held at a later date in the Alamosa Cemetery.
