VALLEY — Besides the Early Iron Festival in Alamosa, the last long weekend of the summer has several other events going on.

SAGUACHE — Some Folk Fest at the Historic Ute Theatre — The festival will feature three evenings of incredible music, featuring Joe Sampson and Ralph White on Friday, Aug. 30; The Turkey Buzzards and Chela Lujan on Saturday, Aug. 31; as well as Bluebook and Jess Parsons on Sunday, Sept. 1.  Music will begin at 7 p.m. each night, and tickets will cost $15 per evening or $30 for all three nights.

ANTONITO – Come join the fun at the Antonito Labor Day Festival, Saturday, Aug. 31.  A free pancake breakfast will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Antonito Town Hall.  The site will also host entertainment throughout the day, including various bands, dance performances and a car show.  The Labor Day Parade will be held at 10 a.m. on Main Street.  Enjoy a meal or snacks at one of our local restaurants or visiting food vendors. A community street dance will be held from 6:30 to 10 p.m.
