Evergreen names new executive director

ALAMOSA – Kara Finger was recently named the new executive director at Evergreen Nursing Home, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Alamosa.

Finger has been working in senior care for five years, most recently in Arizona.

“I was working with developmentally disabled students and started moonlighting with dementia patients and just fell in love with it,” said Finger. “My goal is to provide the highest quality of care for our residents.”

Although she was born in Florida, Finger has spent most of her life in Colorado and considers this state home. She earned a bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy and a master’s degree in business administration from Colorado State University in Pueblo, and she currently resides in Alamosa.

“We are pleased to have Kara joining the Medicare-rated five-star team at Evergreen Nursing Home,” said Jay Beaudoin, vice president of parent company Life Care Centers of America’s Pikes Peak Region. “As someone who got her start as a medication tech/caregiver and grew through years of service to the role of executive director, Ms. Finger has the compassion, drive and skillset necessary to provide high-quality care to the residents and families of Evergreen Nursing Home.”

Evergreen Nursing Home, located at 1991 Carroll Ave., in Alamosa, is one of 22 skilled nursing and rehab facilities in Colorado managed by Life Care Centers of America.
