Farm Incubator applications welcome

ALAMOSA — The Rio Grande Farm Park is currently accepting applications for the 2018 Farm Incubator program. The program seeks to give aspiring farmers opportunities to grow in the agricultural industry, while also imparting ecologically responsible practices. Incubator farmers are provided with long-term technical assistance for up to five years, as well as land, water, equipment, and opportunities to bring food and vegetables to market.

Training focuses on continued agricultural education, leadership development, and business skills. In 2017 the program expanded to serving eight farmers, up from four in the previous year.
