Fassett retires from SLV Federal Bank Board of Directors

ALAMOSA — Bill Fassett retired from the Board of Directors of San Luis Valley Federal Bank at the Bank's annual meeting in January. He has been granted emeritus status on the Board for SLVFB.

Fassett served as a board member for the last seven years after he retired as the Chief Lending Officer for the Bank, a position he held for 11 years. He began his banking career with the Bank of Monte Vista before coming to SLVFB.

Mark Bechaver, CEO of SLVFB, said, "Bill's valuable 40-year banking career has been an asset to the Bank's decision-making and strategic planning. We are grateful to Bill for his knowledge and leadership; we are fortunate that he will remain active in his role as a director emeritus."

Fassett and his wife, Tami, spend their time between their homes in Monte Vista and Sedona, Ariz. He loves traveling, hiking, and golfing and thoroughly enjoys each day.
