February menus shared for senior centers

VALLEY — Following are the February menus for the senior centers throughout the San Luis Valley. Reservations are required. Call South Central Colorado Seniors at 589-4511 or sign up at the individual meal sites. All meals are served with 1-percent milk, no trans fat and no salt butter. Butter is served with bread products. Menus are subject to change.

Friday, February 2 — Italian sausage pasta with marinara sauce, mixed vegetables, salad/sunflower seeds, mixed fruit, Italian bread

Monday, February 5 — Ham and beans, salad, apricot pineapple compote, whole wheat crackers

Tuesday, February 6— Chicken wrap, whole wheat tortilla, cheese, lettuce, tomato, ranch dressing, California vegetable blend, half orange, churro

Wednesday, February 7 — French dip sandwich with Au Jus, garden salsa sun chips, mixed vegetables, mandarin oranges

Thursday, February 8 — Chicken fried steak, country gravy, mashed potatoes, cauliflower broccoli mix, biscuit, peaches

Friday, February 9— Spinach lasagna, green beans, salad, apricot halves, garlic bread

Monday, February 12 — Chicken cordon bleu, brown rice, seasoned asparagus, mandarin oranges, whole wheat crackers

Tuesday, February 13 — Meatloaf with brown gravy, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, strawberry applesauce, whole wheat bread

Wednesday, February 14— Crunchy fish, cheesy potatoes, broccoli/cauliflower, sliced peaches, whole wheat roll

Thursday, February 15 — Tostada, beef/beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, Spanish rice, mixed fruit

Friday, February 16 — Lemon baked fish, tarter sauce, carrot coins, creamy coleslaw, mandarin oranges, whole wheat bread

Monday, February 19 — Baked potato with chili and cheese, carrot coins, mixed fruit, whole wheat bread

Tuesday, February 20 — Arros con pollo (chicken and rice), salad, broccoli, whole wheat bread, cinnamon apples

Wednesday, February 21 — Swiss steak, parsley potatoes, carrot raisin salad, strawberries on cake, whole wheat roll

Thursday, February 22 — Green chili stew with pork and black beans, sliced yellow squash, Muenster cheese sticks, peaches, whole wheat tortilla

Friday, February 23 — Macaroni and cheese, broccoli, parsley carrots, mandarin oranges, whole wheat bread

Monday, February 26 — Fettuccine alfredo with chicken, broccoli, salad, apple slices, garlic bread

Tuesday, February 27 — Posole with pork and chili, sliced zucchini/diced tomatoes, sweet rice with raisins, whole wheat tortilla

Wednesday, February 28 — Sloppy Joe on whole wheat bun, Brussels sprouts, tropical fruit cup, sun chips
