Floyd Chavez Jr. died unexpectedly on April 19, 2021, in Denver, Colorado. He was loved by many. His compassion and dedication to his work allowed him to build many friendships. He was well known for his great personality and his enthusiasm for wrestling allowed him to be an accomplished wrestler in high school. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his son Kael and his dog Rose. He also enjoyed skateboarding, watching his favorite teams, Seattle Seahawks and Colorado Rockies, and living life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Chavez Sr. and his daughter, Riley Campbell. Loved and survived by his mother, Mabel Chavez, his son Kael Chavez, his brothers, Gilbert (Lori) Chavez, Lucas Chavez, sisters Janet (Guillermo) Zapata, Lynette (Wade) Langer and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the center Assembly of God church. Interment will follow at the La Garita cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Romero Funeral Home of Monte Vista.
