Fort Garland Museum hosts Christmas dinner, silent auction

FORT GARLAND — The Friends of Fort Garland Museum will hold their annual Christmas Dinner and Silent Auction on Saturday, December 2, at 5:30 p.m. in the mess hall at the Fort and the public is invited to come and enjoy a really fun evening.

It is the Friends group’s largest fundraiser of the year.  This year it is an old fashioned potluck with the turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy being provided.  Please bring a side dish and/or a dessert to share.

There will be no charge for the dinner but please buy tickets for some wonderful door prizes. The tickets are 12 for $10 or 6 tickets for $5 and can be purchased at the door.  There are wonderful gift certificates and items to be given away. Folks do not have to be present to win. Those who do not plan to attend the dinner can enter tickets to win and their prizes will be sent to them.

An added attraction will be the musical entertainment provided by Iava Williams who will play during the evening. There are wonderful silent auction items to bid on so come on and enjoy a fun evening! All proceeds go towards the educational programs at the Fort!

Call Fort Garland Museum at 719-379-3512 to RSVP by the 27th of November.
