ALAMOSA — Hope & Home, a foster care agency located in Colorado and the San Luis Valley, is hosting a free informational open house for individuals or couples interested in learning more about becoming foster parents.

This event is taking place on Thursday, April 18 from 4-6 p.m. at Calvillo’s Mexican Restaurant in Alamosa.

The need for foster parents is great all across Colorado, and especially in the San Luis Valley.

Often when kids come into care in the San Luis Valley it is a struggle to place them with families in their same community.

Hope & Home currently has a group of foster parents in the valley but we want to help license even more families in order to ensure that these children can stay in their communities, schools and cultures.
