MONTE VISTA — The 8th Annual Martinez 5K Run/Walk on May 28 drew 64 men and women participants to honor U.S. Marine Sgt. Glen E. Martinez who was killed in action when the Humvee he was riding in hit a roadside bomb in Iraq on May 2, 2008.

His family thanks all who participated on this cool, clear and beautiful morning.
