Gratitude Baskets for Healthcare Workers

Healthcare workers are working tirelessly to meet the needs of patients and families impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic which is coming up on its one-year anniversary in the U.S.  The San Luis Valley District of the Colorado Nurses Association wishes to express its appreciation to all healthcare workers throughout the San Luis Valley for their unwavering commitment and dedication to caring for all of us and our loved ones throughout this greatest challenge ever to our nation’s healthcare system.

Nurses, members of the San Luis Valley District of the Colorado Nurses Association, fashioned 65 “gratitude baskets” with goodies of crackers, cookies, hot chocolate, chapstick, gum, Tootsie Pops, hand lotion, and granola bars--adorned with heart-shaped flowers, pink petals and a greeting card featuring a pink prickly pear cactus painted by local artist, Phoebe Russell. These “gratitude baskets” were delivered to all healthcare agencies throughout the San Luis Valley ahead of the Valentine’s Day weekend for staff members to enjoy.   The San Luis Valley District of the Colorado Nurses Association sends a heartfelt “Thank You” to every healthcare worker striving to keep us all healthy.
