Guadalupe Larry Vigil

ALAMOSA — Larry G. Vigil 61, went to his eternal rest on September 16, 2020, at his home under Hospice Care surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born on December 28, 1958, in San Antonio, Colorado, the beloved son of Alfonso Vigil and Priscilla Valdez Vigil. Larry served and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He will always be remembered for his outgoing personality and his compassionate nature.  He worked for many years at Adams State University, where he made lots of friends with members of the community. He also retired from Centauri, Sangre De Cristo and ASU. Larry enjoyed going fishing, watching football, going camping and spending time with his family and friends.

He will live on through his daughters Stephanie Vigil (Derrick)  of Sanford, CO; Kristin (Joe) Silva of La Jara, CO; sons Josh Vigil (Ashley Posey) of La Jara, CO; Larry J. Vigil (Jamie Olivo) of Alamosa, CO; Joe Tony Sanchez of Monte Vista, CO; step-daughter Monique Galvan of Monte Vista, CO; step-son Kevin Trujillo of Monte Vista, CO; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Joyce Atencio of Alamosa, CO; Darlene (Johnny) Garcia, Lynette (Harold) Trujillo both of Antonito, CO; Yvonne Vigil (Tracy Archuleta) of Alamosa, CO; one Uncle Willie Valdez. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Alfonso and Priscilla Vigil, three sisters Naomi Ulibarri, Betsy Lopez, Diane Atencio and one brother Elmer Vigil. 

A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Conejos. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at 10:00 AM also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
