MONTE VISTA —Everyone is invited to attend the spooktacular Halloween Festival from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27, at Fullenweider Park in Monte Vista.

The Monte Vista Chamber of Commerce, the Mystic Valley Art Council, and the San Luis Valley Heathens are hosting the family-friendly event.

People can bring their kids in their Halloween costumes and participate in all the fun activities that will be available at the park. The activities being held will be a kooky build-a-skeleton art project, a riveting tomato toss, and some exciting vampire apple bobbing. In addition to the straw bale maze, there will be pumpkin decorating, a sack race for kids, a bean bag toss, and a kid’s costume contest.
