Halloween show features Bone Orchard music

DEL NORTE — Wildwood Sounds, 850 Grande Ave., Del Norte, presents Bone Orchard Halloween Show & Dance, featuring folk rock, on Friday, October 27, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15. Call 657-4757 or see wildwoodsounds.com

Bone Orchard’s music is a cruise down the Route 66 of legend — if it had started in Appalachia & detoured through the wild streets of Deadwood.

Described by Moors Magazine of The Netherlands as “the orphan children of a traditional string band & the Velvet Underground,” their shows are characterized by Dan & Carol’s haunting harmonies & Daniel’s unique approach to the Spanish Classical Guitar using effects normally only associated with an electric guitar.

Santa Fe Reporter says, “fast gaining a reputation as one New Mexico’s most exciting acts” “redefining Americana.”

Their CD “A Romance of Ghosts” was considered by Heaven Magazine, The Netherlands to be “one of the most exciting folk rock CDs of recent times.“

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. This is a sweets and snacks potluck. Bring a favorite healthy snack to share, and as always coffee tea and blood are on the house. Costumes are so much fun and a great way to spend Halloween with a really fun band.
