Center resident Harold J. Jacques, 57, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 28, 2021, at his home. Harold was born on August 30, 1964 in Monte Vista, Colorado, the beloved son of Ted Jacques and Carmel Gonzales Jacques. He was an extremely talented musician, he was the drummer for the local band Mystic. When he wasn’t working or playing shows with his bandmates he loved to be outdoors, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed cooking and watching all sports.
Survivors include his daughters Lacey McDonald of Hawaii, Jina Jacquez of Montrose, CO; sisters Abbie (James) Sanchez of Center, CO; Judy Arellano of Pueblo, CO; brothers Gene Jacquez of Long Beach, CA; Norman Jacquez of Alamosa, CO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Carmel Jacques, sisters Jane Velasquez, Carol Jaramillo, June Sierra, brothers-in-laws Bob Jaramillo and Dave Arellano.
