Heaven to Home opens

Joined by Alamosa Chamber of Commerce members, family and friends, Raina Walters prepares to cut the ribbon on Heaven to Home, newly located off Highway 160 (451 Santa Fe Avenue) in East Alamosa in the State Farm building. Raina and her husband Torben own the business that features LDS books, home décor and much more. Heaven to Home is open Tuesday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It offers LDS books, other inspirational books, cookbooks, history and other genre books, music, CD’s, jewelry, home décor, Christian and other inspirational art, Down East Basics shirts and more. The business has gone through different owners, and the Walters are keeping it going in Alamosa. “We just felt like there’s a need for the community, and it would enrich our lives as well,” said Raina, originally from La Jara, who met her husband Torben after he came to Alamosa to wrestle for Adams State University. Co-locating her business next door to her husband’s insurance business has worked well for the family and is easily accessible off the highway. For more information call 298-2262.
