Helitack, firefighters, and Jaws of life descend on Adams State

ALAMOSA — The Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC) and its partners were on the campus of Adams State University on Tuesday, March 28, as part of Community Risk Reduction (CRR) Week.

Community Risk Reduction is a process to identify and prioritize local risks, followed by the integrated and strategic investment of resources to reduce their occurrence and impact. CRR Week aims to raise awareness of local risks across Colorado and teach communities how they can reduce those risks.

Numerous agencies and organizations were on campus for the event, including The Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control, Alamosa Fire Department, Alamosa County Fire Protection District, Colorado State Patrol, and Alamosa Volunteer Search and Rescue.
